Most of our main Meetup Events are based in Brisbane City but we also run other events north of the CBD.
MONTHLY PICNIC & PARTY GAMES
10:30am @ Roma Street Parklands
The 4th or 5th Saturday of every month
The signature event of North Brisbane Social Activities which has been running since the group was created. This is a very casual easy going event where we sit at one of the tables and chat, play some light party games and eat some food. No one is required to show up exactly on time although it is recommended to get the most out of it. If you enjoy party games and chatting to friends, new or familiar then this is the event for you.
BRISBANE CITY SCAVENGER HUNT
10:30am Outside Brisbane City Hall
The 2nd or 3rd Saturday every March, July & November
Starting in May 2021, North Brisbane Social Activities has hosted 10 Scavenger Hunts as of November 2024. In a Scavenger Hunt you are given a list of tasks to perform and once time has run out, we then meet up at a certain location and the team with the most points will win a $50 cash prize! This is the event for you if you enjoy exercise and exploration. This event is also available to join on Facebook.
BOARD GAME NIGHT + DINNER
5:00PM The back of New Farm Library
The 1st Friday Every Month
Starting in April 2023, we play some light board games & party games for 2 hours then go & have dinner at a nearby restaurant. This is the place to be after a long day at work and a good way to start the weekend!
JACKBOX GAME NIGHT + DINNER
5:00PM The back of New Farm Library
The 2nd or 3rd Friday every 2 months (Jan, March, May etc.)
Starting in November 2024, we play some Jackbox party games for 2 hours then go & have dinner at a nearby restaurant. All you need is your phone while the host will bring his laptop for us to play the games from. Similar to our more frequent Board Game Nights, this one offers a slightly different experience for a change of pace.
DINNER + LAZER TAG
6:30pm Westfield Chermside Outside Guzman Y Gomez
The 2nd or 3rd Friday every 2 months (Feb, April, June etc.)
We meet at Guzman Y Gomez for dinner then we head on upstairs for 3 rounds of energizing & fun Lazer Tag afterwards. Lazer Tag costs around $20 per person.
XMAS DINNER
6:00pm Grill'd Wintergarden
The 2nd Saturday Of December Once A Year
For 3 years now, this group has had its annual Xmas Dinner at Grill'd Wintergarden which always has plenty of room. Besides eating food from the menu and talking we also pop some bon bons.
BRISBANE BOARD GAMERS
As of March 2025, the Head Organizer of North Brisbane Social Activities has now become the organizer of another meetup group called Brisbane Board Gamers. Every 1st and 3rd Saturday evening of every month, the group plays games in the meeting room next to New Farm Library from 6:30pm. For more information about the group, click the link below.
